Don’t forget Pro-Tip™, a tapering of the tip and tail for easier maneuverability and a reduction of swing weight as well as Scoop, an exaggerated tip and tail for hitting huge boxes or super deep pow. This board also features Infinite Ride™, a pre-broken in technique that makes your board maintain it’s flex and pop for years to come. This snowboard also has the Channel binding system which can fit your old bindings or 2014 Burton bindings, and features the fastest most customizable setup of any board manufacturer, and on top of that it’s backed by a 3-year-warranty. It also contains Side Effects, a lengthening of the tip and tails contact point to improve edge hold when you need it most. The 2014 Super Hero has Jumper Cables Hi-Voltage, ultra-light carbon stringers that force energy throughout the tip and tail which maximizes ollie performance as well as cornering. By now you have probably read the description of all the tech features in these boards but just in case you skipped ahead let me lay it all out on you again. This snowboard is best in the park or street as well as groomers and has a soft feel and is mid-wide to wide. The Super Hero has Flat Top construction which gives you great rocker float feel. Since this snowboard is packed with just about every tech-feature that Burton offers, it allows you to ride a board 4-5cm shorter than your average for heightened maneuverability. Price excludes bindings: bindings can be purchased in our SNOWBOARD BINDINGS section. The Burton Custom Restricted is a Twin camber version of the Custom Flying V Restricted like the Custom is to the Custom Flying V. ![]() Usually the Restricted Custom is the same as the Custom but this time there is a completely different ride. They share the same name and the same twin shape but that’s it. The vastly different camber profiles change the ride a lot. This has a more semi-aggressive freestyle feel to it for those that like the Custom but want to ride switch a lot more. It’s still got the same mountain speed as the Custom Camber and it also has the carving ability. So if you like a more old school all mountain freestyle approach the Restricted Custom Twin might satisfy that need. It feels like a slightly more aggressive Burton Parkitect.Įthics Statement: We don’t get paid by the manufacturer to write these reviews. We do make money from the “Where To Buy” links, but this is our best attempt at an honest and objective review from an average riders’ perspective. ![]() On Snow Feel: Very stable between the feet like camber is and it also doesn’t feel too catchy either. The Custom Twin camber has snappy all around kind of ride. Powder: This is a camber twin with a centered stance so it is not going to have an easy float. If you are old school twin camber rider this will be fine but if you are used to Twins with a little more of a bend up in the tip and tail it’s not going to be an easy ride. Turn Initiation and Carving: Like all Burton boards, this is going to be snappy and fun edge to edge. Even though the turn initiation is moderate if you know what you are doing this can be very quick edge to edge. ![]() Speed: Just like the Custom in a twin shape. Its got a fast base and it’s a pretty stable ride when you pick up speed. Night and day difference from the Custom Flying V Twin/ Restricted Custom Flying V. Uneven Terrain: Burtons boards have a lot of shock absorption and a great flex that can deal with crowded resort snow very well.Įdge Hold: It holds a lot better than the Flying V Custom twin. It’s got the same edge hold as the directional to twinish original camber model. It’s good in most conditions to even borderline hard.
